Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities face the staggering challenge of lacking access to a wheelchair. For those unable to walk, the alternatives often involve crawling or being carried to reach their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has made a significant impact by distributing over 1 million wheelchairs to individuals with disabilities across 93 developing countries. This endeavor has not only provided crucial mobility but has also restored dignity, independence, and hope to recipients, all at no cost. Our collaboration with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016, aligning with our organization's commitment to improving lives worldwide. Since then, our dedicated team has successfully raised over $400,000, funding the distribution of more than 5,000 wheelchairs. These transformative efforts have been realized through impactful Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador, and Costa Rica.
More than half of the children residing in the Dominican Republic endure the hardships of living below the poverty line, often resorting to the streets to earn a living. Josiah’s House addresses this urgent need by operating family-style homes that offer essential provisions, education, life skills, and a nurturing family environment to vulnerable boys and girls, fostering an environment conducive to success. In a heartwarming collaboration, 70 Right at Home offices united to support Josiah’s House by providing everyday essentials for the children under its care. The collective effort resulted in the delivery of suitcases filled with clothing, personal hygiene items, toys, and other supplies, contributing to the well-being and comfort of the children at Josiah’s House.
